What to expect

Surfing along Morocco’s Atlantic coast has a long-standing following, and Essaouira’s laid-back atmosphere makes it a friendly place to paddle out for the first time. Instructors can point you to the safest spot for your level on the day.

A first lesson usually starts on the sand with paddling, popping up and reading the waves, then moves into the water where you practice with support. Returning surfers can ask for coaching on technique or help choosing the best break.

Swell, tide and wind all affect the plan, so the provider makes the final call on timing and location. Tell us your level and your preferred date and we will check what is possible.
